THE TWO OF US CAPTURING THE STORY OF THE TWO OF YOU
Devin + Emma
CHAS & NEG
We can't forget Stanley. Stanley doesn't let anyone forget he's there.
Chas is a very good friend of mine of many years. So, when he met Neg and saw she was WAY too good for him and the best thing to happen in his life, we were routing for him to pop the question! This couple is the perfect match because you have a guy as cheeky and silly as Chas, and you have a English girl who's refined and classy, yet strangely possesses the same warped sense of humor. When they told me they were going to want their session done wearing their crazy striped sweaters, we knew it was going to be a great day. And, then, they brought their little hairball of playful cuteness, Stanley, with his very own matching sweater. These two (or three?) are perfect for each other!
Noah + Jaya
Noah and Jaya just were about being casual and staying in the moment. Misty skies and moody settings led to some beautiful images that we felt show the best of what we love to do. Noah was a bit aloof, which led to him being so organically photogenic and Jaya was a natural in her direction and stances. This was a great day with a really authentic couple.
Natalie & Kelsey
Natalie and Kelsey were such a cool and fun couple to shoot. Natalie is a teacher and Kelsey is a graduate student at Cal poly. So, we thought it would be symbolic to capture images that brought them to San Luis Obispo. Although our weatherman (me) predicted clear and sunny skies after a week of rain and clouds, it didn't quite turn out that way. We first ventured to Bishops Peak, which was still pretty wet and muddy. There were some rain showers, some muddy shoes, some chilly breezes. But we all had fun and those two rocked it!
Cliff & Laramie
Laramie and her family have a ranch out in the boonies of Shandon. From there, we went to a crumbling vestige of a bygone era. An old World War II outpost used to spot enemy aircraft became our location, with the snow capped Sierras far off in the distance. Cliff and Laramie were rockstars and made it look easy, even though it was only 49 degrees with hard, chill winds blowing. I sought after and found some beautiful light coming in through one of the windows to create some great shots with shadows dropping off dramatically in the background. That, plus the sweeping vistas led to a great engagement session.
